Introducing…. Marina Ivanova, our Technical Support Engineer at IRIS.
Marina gives you more insight into her background, her life at IRIS and what she enjoys getting up to in her spare time.
What do you do and how long have you worked at IRIS?
‘‘I have been providing technical support to our customers globally since May 2022. I work closely with clients to resolve any issues or queries, help our customers get the most out of their system and ensure they're maximising all the features - as there are so many!’’
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
‘‘My plans! I love planning a week ahead and organising my tasks into three groups in my Google calendar: Have to, Want to, and Lead to.‘‘
What do you love about working at IRIS?
‘‘The variety of tools and systems we use to make our service work, my brilliant and helpful colleagues, and the fact that my ideas are being considered.’’
What’s your background?
‘‘I have always worked closely with customers and vendors in different industries, such as event management, real estate, and after studying to become a nutritional adviser – I also worked for a food supplement company during the whole pandemic.’’
What is one of the most interesting tasks/projects you’ve worked on at IRIS?
‘‘As my main job is to provide tech support, I would love to share my favourite software that we are currently using to provide top-notch service to our customers. The first one is WalkMe – it’s an interactive guidance platform (it might seem complex to implement in the beginning, but later, you will be amazed by its functionality), and secondly, IVANTI MobileIron - a platform to manage our customers’ mobile devices. I’m currently finishing a certification on “MobileIron Cloud”.‘‘
What did you want to do when you were growing up?
‘‘I wanted to become a gymnast.‘‘
What sets IRIS [or your department] apart from other companies?
‘‘The deep technical knowledge and experience, a willingness to give world-class support to our clients.‘‘
If you could switch jobs with someone, who would it be?
‘‘Not sure if this job exists, but I would like to work for people to make their dreams come true =) ‘‘
What is your favourite hobby?
‘‘I love dancing, cooking, eating and talking =) ‘‘
What’s your biggest niggle/ bug-bear?
‘‘We live only once =( ‘‘
What is your guilty pleasure?
‘‘If you like roasted nuts and chocolate like me – try FOREST FEAST Salted Dark Choco Almonds.‘‘
What’s the best thing about working at IRIS?
‘‘To be able to interact with customers from all over the world!’’
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
‘‘I joined the 3-months coding boot camp at Futureproof one year ago. It was so extremely hard for me as a beginner, but I completed it, and I loved it!‘‘
