The first 5-star W Escape property in the Middle East is set to increase revenue, operate more sustainably and enhance guest communications courtesy of IRIS’ hospitality app

IRIS, a global market leader in digital F&B, guest directory and concierge solutions for hotels and restaurants, has been selected by W Dubai – The Palm to implement its mobile dining and digital guest directory platform to provide a more sustainable, efficient and enjoyable experience to guests.

W Dubai – The Palm is a luxury 5-star property located in the heart of Dubai’s world-famous beach resort. In addition to its 349 guest rooms and suites, it also offers two Michelin-starred restaurants, an adults only WET Deck DJ venue and Sobe bar.

As part of this partnership, the IRIS app provides guests with mobile ordering for both in-room and poolside dining, alongside a comprehensive digital guest directory and mobile concierge service. Both consolidate all the F&B menus and hotel and local area information into one handy app that is easily accessible to both guests and staff.

The guest directory includes a resort map, guest services, information on the hotel’s facilities, and local attractions, whilst the mobile dining app includes all the menus with additional details about dishes (ingredients and allergens) and pictures of every item. Both can be amended in real time to ensure seamless updates that help drive operational efficiencies and ensure the guest is accurately informed in terms of which menu items are available, without the need for frequent and costly paper re-prints.

Furthermore, by amalgamating all the information on one app, it reduces the amount of paper and clutter across the hotel, presenting a smarter, more eco-friendly approach to guest communications.

Throughout the hotel, the app is accessible via QR codes that are printed on tent cards in rooms and on acrylic blocks at the WET Deck to help increase visibility and adoption by guests.
