v5.32 - Time slots
Version 5.32 brings our new time slots feature to life, allowing you to set maximum orders per time slot to regulate your ordering. On top of that, we’ve added a quick way to promote items and continued our design enhancements, find out more details below.
As always please note that the property branding and content shown are from the IRIS Beta property, but when these features are released it will be with your property branding, logos and colour schemes applied as they are today. Time Slots for Ordering
We are really excited about our new Time Slots feature as a method to regulate the pace of orders coming through and to prevent your staff from getting overwhelmed. You can easily set the maximum amount of orders allowed, as well as the length of each time slot in the IRIS Platform by reviewing your Outlet Settings.
When it comes to placing an order, guests can then select a specific time slot or they will be assigned a time slot for as soon as possible depending the delivery options which you have configured for your Outlet. Availability of slots will be automatically handled by the IRIS Platform to provide a regulated flow of orders, as per your chosen settings.
In the Cart Page, the selected time slot will be shown to the guest and once the order is completed we will let them know the specific expected delivery time, so that the guests are aware when to expect their order.

Promoted Items
Promoted items are a quick way to draw attention to specific items on your menu. Any promoted item will have a stand out design to catch the eye of your guests when they are browsing through the menu.
You can use this new feature to highlight Chef’s Specials or Favourite Dishes, just go any of your item in the IRIS Platform and turn on the “Promoted Item” switch to turn on this feature.
You can also configure the exact text that will be shown to guests using our Static Content process, and it can be unique for Order Outlets and Service Outlets. By default this will simply show “popular” but as always if you want to change this text, please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Pro Tip: Remember to create a new content version any time that you make changes in the IRIS Platform.
Continued Design Improvements
Last but not least - continuing the great design work from our previous release, we have polished a few more areas of the user flow. Including a new look and feel for selected Sections and Categories inside your Outlet, which takes full advantage of our App Styles theme system to match your branding colour scheme.
We’ve also updated the Order History and Message Center pages so that they are up to date with the modern design of all of the other areas of the app. Take a look around and let us know what you think!
