IRIS is shortlisted for Best Use of Innovative Technology Award at the Hotel Cateys

IRIS is delighted to be shortlisted for Best Use of Innovative Technology Award at the Hotel Cateys, designed to recognise the outstanding contributions to the hospitality industry.

This is in recognition of our partnership with the five-star London Marriott Hotel County Hall who has achieved outstanding results with our mobile ordering and guest experience platform.

Occupying London’s former County Hall and only steps away from the London Eye, Big Ben and the iconic Westminster Bridge, the luxury hotel deploys creative marketing tactics alongside their fully optimised app (with professional photos, descriptions and upsells, varied menu items etc.), to enable them to save time, enrich the guest experience and drive F&B revenue.

The hotel first implemented their guest experience platform to provide a contactless service to guests during Covid-19. They wanted an efficient mobile ordering and digital guest directory solution that would help eliminate mistakes, elevate the guest stay, and boost F&B spend. In the last 2 years the hotel has made considerable strides in guest engagement and operational gains with their IRIS app such as:

- 66% F&B revenue growth year-on-year
- Significant payroll savings
- Operational efficiencies with 97% of orders being made online
- Paper and cost savings
- Increased turnaround times and service enhancements
- Accessible, accurate guest information at the touch of a button

About the awards:

The Best Use of Innovative Technology Award recognises outstanding achievements in leveraging technology within the hotel industry.

From business-empowering property management systems (PMS) to AI-enabled lightbulbs, security solutions and virtual reality innovations – this category encourages entries from ALL areas of technology, as long as the solution is disrupting the status quo.

Entries were only considered for technology innovations that have made a tangible difference to their businesses in the last 24 months.

The winners will be announced on the awards night, which will take place on Monday 25 November at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, bringing together the finest talents and leader in the industry for an evening of recognition, networking and celebration.
